Alcohol at work, from prevention to immediate dismissal in Swiss law

The consumption of alcohol during or before work is likely to lead to risky situations.
It is associated with a decrease in the quality of work, absenteeism, endangering the safety of the employee or his colleagues, conflicts in the workplace and even sexual harassment. When such harmful events occur while the employee is intoxicated, the employer may be held liable.
